Cotswold performance venue, Berrybank Park near Moreton-in-Marsh, is launching a brand-new creative studio space, offering local artists a unique place to work.
The 500-seat outdoor amphitheatre was built in memory of local woman, Janet Cockell, and first opened in June 2022 with a packed programme of theatre, live music and cinema screenings.
The Oddington venue has now revealed the plans for its latest venture, The Creative Space, offering a variety of studios with inspiring panoramic views over the Evenlode Valley.
Housed inside containers, there will be seven studios aimed at established local creatives; three spacious studio workshops ideal for artisans; a central space with 16 smaller studios, better-suited to artists who are just starting out; as well as an inner glazed area. Each studio space offers the flexibility to be used as an office or workshop.
Giving artists the chance to explore fresh ideas and concepts; network and build relationships with other artists; and welcome existing and prospective clients to discuss projects, Berrybank Park director, Keith Cockell, said: 'Our aim is to bring creative industrial designers, architects, fabric designers and others together with artisans making furniture and decorative artworks.'
The site also benefits from a postal space, WiFi, toilets and plenty of parking, as well as an elevated terraced lawn overlooking the valley.
The Creative Space development at Berrybank Park is due to be completed in the autumn of 2024.
