New Brewery Arts is continuing its mission to support young artisans by launching the Young Makers exhibition and mentoring programme in 2025.

Cirencester artisan studio, New Brewery Arts, is looking for people under the age of 25 to take part in its new exhibition, coming to the gallery space in 2025.

The Young Makers exhibition, in partnership with national not-for-profit organisation Heritage Crafts, aims to 'highlight the wealth of skill, thinking, heritage understanding and imagination within the craft sector, played out in the hands of young makers.'

It will take place from Saturday 8 February until Saturday 24 May 2025, alongside a scheme of free online group mentoring sessions for under-25s, delivered by New Brewery Arts and curator and writer, Melody Vaughan.

The mentoring programme will run across four months from December 2024 and is designed to support young makers as they move from graduate into the professional world of craft.

CEO of New Brewery Arts, Beth Alden, said: 'We are excited to continue our work in developing the new generation of makers in the UK.

'This is a fantastic opportunity for under-25 makers to not only showcase their work in a professional gallery in the heart of the Cotswolds, but gain access to professional mentoring that will give them the tools required to forge a sustainable career in craft.'

The mentoring scheme and exhibition initiatives are both part of New Brewery Arts' mission to support young makers, with funding support from Arts Council England — coming just weeks after the centre announced the recipient of its year-long Young Craft Maker residency, embroiderer Beth Somerville.

To apply to be a part of the Young Makers exhibition and mentoring programme, visit the New Brewery Arts website.

Applications close on Sunday 24 November and Sunday 1 December 2024 for the online mentoring programme and the exhibition respectively.
