A new Bristol street art exhibition will offer visitors the chance to see work by Banksy up close this summer.

Vanguard, the exhibition at M Shed presented in association with Bristol City Council, features work by Banksy.

Alongside iconic works from some of Bristol’s street art pioneers, the exhibition showcases artists from all over the world and their work from the last 30 years.

Exploring the diversity and development of street art, the exhibition puts a spotlight on individuals and groups using their art to try and make positive changes.

Curator Mary McCarthy said: ‘Vanguard celebrates the unique environment that Bristol provided and its role in generating some of the world’s most notable names in music and art. Considering the ongoing evolution of the global movement, we recognise the importance of the city as the birthplace of British Street Art.’

The exhibition opens on Saturday 6 June 2020 at M Shed in Bristol.

SoGlos will reveal more details soon.
