In a beautiful tribute to all the hard work Gloucestershire’s NHS workers are doing to fight Coronavirus, Berkeley Castle has been lit up in blue to show support and solidarity.

The castle has joined the #makeitblue campaign, where buildings and landmarks are being lit with blue lights every Thursday to tie in with the 8pm Clap for Carers.

Its logo has had a makeover too, turning their shield blue in an additional show of support.

Visitor business manager Jenny Low said: ‘We are joining the campaign #makeitblue in support of the NHS & key workers. We have lit up the Castle blue, and changed our Shield to blue to show appreciation to everyone who is working so tirelessly to save lives and keep the country going.’
