Excitement has been mounting since the brand new SoGlos Gloucestershire Lifestyle Awards were announced last year, and the 20 categories which businesses will have the chance to enter in 2018 have now been revealed.
Following 10 years as Gloucestershire’s leading lifestyle media, the team behind SoGlos devised the awards to recognise and celebrate the very best lifestyle businesses and individuals in and around our amazing county.
The awards will be powered by an exciting nomination stage and ‘people’s choice’ voting process, with a host of support for the lucky winners who will be revealed at a prestigious industry event.
The 2018 award categories are:

2. Family Day Out Venue of the Year 2018
3. Live Entertainment Venue of the Year 2018
4. Sporting Venue of the Year 2018
5. Live Music Venue of the Year 2018
6. Restaurant of the Year 2018
7. Takeaway of the Year 2018
8. Café of the Year 2018
9. Food/Drink Producer of the Year 2018
10. Pub of the Year 2018
11. Bar of the Year 2018
12. Hotel of the Year 2018
13. Spa of the Year 2018
14. Hair Salon of the Year 2018
15. Independent School of the Year 2018
16. Independent Shop of the Year 2018
17. Homes & Interiors Business of the Year 2018
18. Shopping Destination of the Year 2018
19. Event of the Year 2018
20. Social Media Influencer of the Year 2018
Businesses will be able to nominate themselves for one of the 20 awards between Thursday 1 February and Monday 5 March 2018.
A panel of SoGlos judges will then decide on a shorlist, announced on Monday 19 March 2018, when public voting also opens – closing on Monday 23 April 2018.
The winners will be revealed at an awards evening, for which the venue and date are to be confirmed.
Businesses have the opportunity to sponsor the exciting new #SGGLA, benefitting from a unique promotional opportunity, with the inaugural awards set to be particularly exciting.
