Cheltenham-based Hooray Recruitment has signed an exclusive partnership with global wine merchant giant, Laithwaites.

A business hailed as the biggest wine merchant in the world – and a sponsor of Gloucester Rugby, no less – has partnered with a Gloucestershire recruitment expert to source its next generation of staff.

Laithwaites, which also has a major warehouse, call centre and wine shop on Gloucester Business Park in Brockworth, where it employs 500 staff, has signed the exclusive deal with Hooray Recruitment.

The Cheltenham ethical recruitment firm will help the worldwide business, known for being the UK's biggest home delivery wine service, to source temporary staff for its customer contact centre.

Richard Arthur, managing director at Hooray, said: ‘I am absolutely delighted. This is a really exciting partnership.

‘We are very much looking forward to developing this relationship.’

Ian Moriarty, operations director at Hooray, said: ‘With its commitment to customer service excellence and being an employer of choice, coupled with its values and ethics, we really felt a strong alignment and synergy with the Laithwaites team and brand.’

Laithwaites is part of the Direct Wines empire. The Berkshire-headquartered business was started in 1969 by husband and wife team Tony and Barbara Laithwaite.
