A new £2 million state-of-the-art events and wedding venue is being launched at Naunton Downs in the Cotswolds by national hunt race horse trainer Ben Pauling.
His 200-acre site, which also includes a golf course and a dining, entertainment and artisan retail venue, is undergoing an upgrade that will see a 5,000 square foot barn built later this year.
Completion is scheduled for late 2024, offering guests stunning views across the Cotswolds.
Pauling said: 'The existing dining and entertainment venue and Fitzdares Club are well established as luxury destinations and we believe there is significant potential for a luxury venue that can cater for a wide range of events – personal, business and racing-related.
'We are in a great location in the heart of an area of outstanding natural beauty yet easily accessible from London and close to Cheltenham.'
The venture has been made possible by a new partnership with a property development and investment company.
Ben Pauling Racing has teamed up with The Wigley Group to form The Naunton Downs Estate, which will operate the events barn as it caters for exclusive weddings, family celebrations, corporate and racing events.
The Wigley Group chief executive officer, James Davies, said: 'It is a wonderful setting, in a superb location which already has an established golf club, so the events barn is a natural progression which we believe will appeal to a very wide range of audiences and uses.
'There will be a very strong focus on quality and sustainability with, for an example, extensive partnerships with local suppliers and businesses.'
