A solar power installation at a Gloucester business has won a national award, shining the light on the work of county firm Mypower.

The Toddington-headquartered firm has won the Small-Scale Project of the Year at the Regional Energy Efficiency Awards 2021 for its installation at Delaney Mackay Lewis’s Goodridge Business Park in Gloucester.

The business was also highly commended in the Small-Scale Project Regional Installer of the Year and commended in the Large-Scale Project categories, the latter for its installation at Forest of Dean-based Leeways Packaging.

Ben Harrison, managing director of Mypower, which now employs 20 staff, said: ‘Having just celebrated our tenth anniversary, it’s wonderful to achieve this and put down a marker on the standards we operate to as a business.

‘I couldn’t be more excited for the future of the business or more proud of the team we’ve built.’

Mypower revealed it is about to begin a new installation at Oxstalls Tennis Centre in Gloucester.

The firm was commended at the same awards in 2017 for its installation at Gloucester Cathedral.
