Following a wave of UK media industry award recognitions, global journalism nominations and milestone trading celebrations, there's even more reason to celebrate at SoGlos HQ, as monthly audience figures have hit an all-time high since the media brand's launch back in 2007 — with SoGlos now reaching an impressive monthly audience of 312,535.
The monthly reach includes 188,000 readers visiting the SoGlos website as their trusted source of Gloucestershire inspiration and information; 95,535 followers across one of Gloucestershire's largest social media communities; and 29,000 subscribers to SoGlos's popular weekly Lifestyle and Business email newsletters.
Social media followers are expected to hit a combined record 100,000 in the coming months, with platform-specific strategies already resulting in growth across specific channels including: Facebook 42,000; Instagram 21,100; LinkedIn 8,335 and X 24,100 at the time of writing.
The monthly audience growth is attributed to the persistent work of Gloucestershire's largest media team in crafting and publishing more unique, interesting and timely articles than ever before; alongside ongoing work into understanding and improving how best to engage with SoGlos's discerning readers, followers and newsletter subscribers; and a host of smart SEO improvements to maximise the reach of articles too.
Consistently working closely with partners to fine tune how best to share their stories in an engaging way has also contributed to the growing reach of content marketing; with continued financial investment into developing powerhouse publishing system SoCMS also significantly improving productivity and output.
SoPublishing’s CEO, Michelle Fyrne, said: ‘Our record breaking audience figures are a testament to the hard work of the SoGlos team; having a better understanding of our audience than ever before; as well as continued investment in the best regional publishing tech in the UK — further cementing our position as Gloucestershire's leading media brand, while also presenting unparalleled opportunities for our partners to reach new customers and grow their businesses.
'It's really important to stop and take stock of your achievements every once in a while, and we couldn't be more proud of SoGlos and the many people it reaches who are living in, working in and visiting Gloucestershire.'
