BBC reporter Steve Knibbs is returning to the stage to compere and announce the winners of the SoGlos Gloucestershire Business Awards 2023.

This year, more than 150 Gloucestershire companies took up the challenge and entered the 2023 SoGlos Gloucestershire Business Awards – and they can now find out if they've made the shortlist.

SoGlos is delighted to reveal the official shortlist for the 22 categories at this year’s awards, made possible once again by headline sponsors Willans LLP solicitors (willans.co.uk) and Hazlewoods (hazlewoods.co.uk), as well as a high calibre of individual category sponsors and a host of brilliant partners.

A diverse range of businesses big and small put their names forward, giving judges the challenge of shortlisting the companies and individuals that will receive an invitation to an exclusive drinks reception at media firm Still Moving’s Bishops Cleeve studio on Tuesday 18 July 2023.

The SGGBA judges will reconvene on Wednesday 13 September 2023 at Malmaison in Cheltenham, for the even more difficult task of deciding the finalists and winners.

And those final names will be revealed on Friday 15 September 2023, ahead of the awards night itself on Thursday 19 October 2023, where the winners and runners up will be announced and celebrated with the help of BBC reporter and presenter, Steve Knibbs, who will be returning as compere for the event.

The invitation-only awards party will take place at Gloucester South Community Fire Station in Tuffley.

James Fyrne, managing director of and co-founder of SoGlos, which is now Gloucestershire's most successful independent media brand, said: ‘We continue to listen to our brilliant partners and sponsors every year and tweak the criteria to keep the event as open as possible while also ensuring a high calibre of entries.

‘It certainly seems to have worked, judging by the shortlist. We would like to say a massive ‘thank you’ to everyone who entered this year and a huge congratulations to everyone who is now in the frame for this year's awards.’
