ReformIT, a Cheltenham-based managed IT services and security provider, has acquired Grafx Digital Technologies as it continues to grow its customer base in Gloucestershire and beyond.
Grafx, also based in Cheltenham, has been serving clients across the south west for 30 years, looking after businesses using both Microsoft Windows and Apple products.
Founded by director Tony Briscombe, it started out in the creative services and print industry, before expanding its support services as Apple products became more widely accepted for general business use.
ReformIT is 17 years its junior, but has grown significantly over the last five years, under the guidance of managing director, Neil Smith.
Mr Smith said: ‘The owners of Grafx approached me with a view to either retiring or at least having the option of stepping away from the day-to-day management of their business.
‘We all felt the most important aspects of any transition were to protect the staff and ensure continuity of great support and service for the customers. We have taken some time to get to know each other and find a way to achieve those goals.
He added: ‘By bringing Grafx into the ReformIT family we now have a phenomenal set of skills and experience across both Apple and Microsoft based technologies and we are able to offer the best of all worlds to clients regardless of the hardware or cloud-based platform they choose to use.
‘The teams at both ReformIT and Grafx are an incredibly talented bunch of people and this is an opportunity for us to build on those skills and create a truly innovative, market leading service for managed IT and security within businesses large and small across Gloucestershire and beyond.’
