Nomadic UK is offering its expert video production services for free this Christmas, giving one Gloucestershire charity the chance to win a professional advert worth £4,000.

Award-winning video production company Nomadic UK is offering Gloucestershire charities the chance to win a Christmas advert worth £4,000.

The Cheltenham-based company's Charity Christmas Advert competition is back for the second year running in 2024, with one lucky charity able to win a day of filming to create a 60-second advert and 20-second teaser to elevate their Christmas marketing campaign.

Nomadic UK works with a range of clients to produce compelling visual content to help them achieve their marketing goals, from local sole traders, small to medium enterprises all the way up to global brands like Renishaw, The O2 Arena, Sainsbury's and John Lewis.

The aim of the competition is to help Gloucestershire charities overcome potential budget constraints to produce TV-quality content, with a view to raising awareness of their services at what is a crucial time for the sector.

The team believes that harnessing the power of video to create an advert with a moving narrative is a huge asset for charities as they move into the colder months, with people more likely to choose to donate to charity at Christmas.

Dr Amy Holley, co-owner, producer and scriptwriter at Nomadic UK, said: 'We know how difficult the colder months are for so many people and families, not least because of rising energy bills amidst the ongoing cost-of-living crisis, but also because Christmas can be tough when it feels like someone is missing.

'Whether that's due to illness preventing a loved one from being with you, or if they've passed away, it is difficult to celebrate or see others celebrating when someone dear to you is absent.

'With so many inspiring charities in the county we'd love to help all of them if we could we thought we'd concentrate on creating one exceptional Christmas ad that will be filmed in 4K and will be of TV production quality, should the winning charity want to take their ad on to television in order to maximise their opportunity of hitting their Christmas fundraising goals.'

The competition is now open to Gloucestershire-based charities and closes at 5pm on Monday 9 September 2024.

To enter, charities should provide details of who they are, what they do and why they need a Christmas ad, along with what they want to say with their advert and where they plan to promote it, using this online form.

All entries will be carefully considered by a judging panel of Gloucestershire-based marketing and charity experts, who will decide the winner ready for production to begin in the lead-up to Christmas 2024.
