One of the UK's largest business networking groups, the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) has appointed a new chairperson to its south west branch.

Ramona Obafemi, who is based in Bristol, will act as regional chair for the whole of the south west region covering Gloucestershire, Bristol, Bath, Somerset, Devon and Cornwall, and will lead volunteer activity for the area too.

On her new role, Ramona said: 'I’m delighted to have been appointed to this key role. I am deeply committed to ensuring that the voice of small businesses across the south west is clearly heard, particularly during such a critical time for small businesses.

'Building a business community where we can share experiences and support each other is key to my volunteer role and I look forward to meeting local businesses, whether virtually or in person.

'I’m also looking forward to working with the local staff team who have many years' experience of business support across the greater south west.'

Celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2025, the FSB is a non-profit organisation which supports and represents small businesses and self-employed individuals, giving them access to business services such as financial advice and legal support, alongside regular networking events for its members.
