Leading bus operator, Stagecoach West, has appointed Chris Hanson as its new operations director this August 2023.
Hanson joins the team from First Cymru Buses in Swansea, where he demonstrated career-defining skill and dedication and made a significant contribution to the company's success at a variety of different levels.
He began his career with First Bus as a driver, before moving up to head of operations at First West of England; operations director; and then general manager at First Cymru Buses.
With a track record of operational excellence, his focus at Stagecoach West will be on driving service delivery across the local network, which includes a number of key routes across Gloucestershire and Oxfordshire.
Stagecoach West's managing director, Rachel Geliamassi, said: 'Chris’s deep understanding of the bus industry, his passion for service excellence and his people-first approach makes him an excellent fit for Stagecoach West.
