Khady Gueye has been announced as the new director of community and place at charity The Music Works.
Khady brings a wealth of experience in placemaking and community engagement, from her work with the charity as community programmes manager as well as programme manager at Create Gloucestershire.
In her new role, she'll focus on building close connections with young people and partners in Gloucestershire, with a special emphasis on Gloucester and the Forest of Dean.
Music Hubs is a specialist in working with young people in challenging circumstances to help them reach their full potential in music, in learning and in life.
It aims to create vibrant, dynamic spaces that shape communities into creative and welcoming environments that resonate with young people.
Khady said: 'I'm immensely excited to step into the role of director of community and place at The Music Works.
'I'm passionate about harnessing the power of music to empower young people locally and support the development of communities where everyone has the space and support to flourish.'
The charity works with 4,500 young people aged from eight to 30 as well as a further 3,500 through events.
The Music Works said: 'We're excited about the journey ahead and look forward to the positive impact we'll create together.'
