CEO of leading car retailer Waylands, John O'Hanlon, says the firm is 'thrilled' to be expanding its services into Gloucester in 2024.

Leading car dealer and servicing group Waylands, which represents leading manufacturers across four English counties, has added the Volvo Gloucester car showroom to its network.

The showroom, located on Cole Avenue near Tuffley, becomes the sixth site owned by the family-run firm, which has built up a strong reputation nationally for its sales and repair services.

Representing top car brands including Volvo, Polestar, Kia and MG across locations in Bristol, Newbury, Oxford, Reading and Swindon, Waylands has been named Dealer Group of the Year at the prestigious AM Awards — which recognises excellence across the UK motoring industry — for the past six years running.

Waylands says its newly-acquired showroom, which is being rebranded Waylands Volvo Gloucester, will offer customers a relaxed environment thanks to its 'calming' Scandinavian-inspired lounge area.

The showroom will also allow customers the opportunity to watch work being carried out through an interior viewing window overlooking its repair centre, while it will also have six electric vehicle charging points for visitors.

John O’Hanlon, CEO at Waylands, said: 'We are thrilled to be given the opportunity to extend our services in the thriving city of Gloucester and surrounding areas, and cannot wait to expand the Waylands brand to a new part of the region.

'We look forward to welcoming all of our customers and existing Volvo drivers to our new showroom facility and providing them with the same level of service and attention that is synonymous with the Waylands name.'
