Ryan Hill, managing director of Cheltenham-based PRB Systems, says the partnership — which includes the external rendering of Kingsholm's famous Lions' Den — marks an 'exciting' new chapter for the business.

A family-owned Cheltenham firm which provides advanced rendering systems for construction projects across the UK has announced an exciting new partnership with Gloucester Rugby — which will see its products used to transform one of the English game's 'most recognisable' buildings.

PRB Systems — the UK provider of rendering products from leading French manufacturer PRB — has partnered with the club to revamp the exterior of one of Kingsholm's oldest buildings, the Lions' Den, with its brand being exclusively advertised inside the bar at the heart of the fan zone.

The firm will also sponsor the ‘Next Up’ digital asset on Gloucester Rugby’s social platforms, along with the club's fixture against Exeter Chiefs at Kingsholm in April 2025, as part of the deal.

Founded in 1975, western France-based PRB manufactures a unique range of renders — from monocouche and historic lime, to specialist and eco products — which are used to give buildings a 'beautiful' exterior look while keeping them protected from the elements.

PRB Systems was founded in Gloucestershire in 2018 by Andrew Hill, Ryan Hill and Iain Hebborn, as the French firm's exclusive representative in the UK.

The business has experienced impressive growth in the past six years and today supplies products to some of the UK's biggest construction and plastering firms, as well as individual clients, for commercial and residential projects through its network of industry-leading distribution partners.

The firm also achieved one of its key goals in 2023, becoming a certified Carbon Neutral Business with UK-based climate solutions organisation Positive Planet, having worked through a plan to measure, reduce and offset emissions across the business.

Ryan Hill, managing director of PRB Systems said of the partnership: 'I am thrilled to see my family business, PRB Systems, supporting Gloucester Rugby. This partnership marks an exciting chapter, and I couldn’t be more proud to be part of the transformation of the Lion’s Den.

'Together, we look forward to making a lasting impact on the club and its passionate community.'

Gloucester Rugby CEO, Alex Brown, added: 'We're delighted to welcome PRB Systems on board and are pleased to be working with them to renovate the Lion's Den, while showcasing their local business on one of the oldest and most recognisable buildings in English rugby.'
