Diamonds are Cheltenham's best friend as established high end jewellers Goldsmiths prepares to open the doors of its huge new store on The Promenade this October 2024.
Taking over the former Royal Bank of Scotland bank, which has remained empty for two years, the move from a smaller store further down The Promenade is a vote of confidence in the town's retail offering.
Sitting opposite Cavendish House, which is thriving as a base for independents to showcase their wares, the opening follows the move of GO Outdoors to relocate to a larger base at The Brewery Quarter.
Goldsmiths has more than 230 years of trading experience with its first showroom opening in Newcastle in 1778 and it made history as the UK's first Rolex watch stockist in 1919.
Now one of the leading quality jewellers in the UK, it has more than 90 showrooms selling fine jewellery and diamonds, including exclusive brands Jenny Packham and Mappin & Webb.
It also operates the largest distribution network for Rolex, Omega and TAG Heuer, along with many desirable watch brands.
A key employer, Goldsmiths servicing and repairs employs more watchmakers than any other UK high street retailer.
The store opens on Friday 25 October 2024.
