Gloucestershire-based property developer, Robert Hitchins, has added a 25,000 sq ft warehouse in Stonehouse to its jam-packed portfolio, with the intention of refurbishing the facility to eventually put on the market.
The purchase of Unit 5 Brunel Way in Stroudwater Business Park is part of a wider transaction which also involved partnering with bio science firm, Greiner Bio-One to develop its new purpose-built 53,500 sq ft facility at Robert Hitchins's nearby Stroudwater 13 Business Park — doubling its warehouse capacity to allow for growth in the UK.
Refurbishment works on Unit 5 are currently underway, with hopes that the site will be available for occupation from March 2024.
The unit will provide a modern warehouse with two-storey office accommodation and storage space on a self-contained plot, sitting just off the A419.
Senior development manager at Robert Hitchins, Michael Plimmer said: 'We are delighted to have acquired Unit 5. There are not many buildings of this size available in the local area and we are confident that, once refurbished, it will appeal to both local and national businesses wanting to set up in the area.'
