Funds are still available for businesses in Gloucestershire impacted by the omicron variant of Covid-19.

There are just days remaining for businesses in Gloucestershire’s hospitality and leisure sectors impacted by Omicron to apply for grants of up to £6,000.

All six of the county’s local authorities remain open to applications, although the closing date for some is in the next few days of early February 2022.

The funds were made available by government to be distributed to businesses to help mitigate against the impact of the latest form of Covid-19.

Sam Holliday, of the Federation of Small Businesses, said: ‘Many of the councils have also given an update on the discretionary fund (ARG, or Additional Restrictions Grants) they have to help those outside of these sectors so that is also worth checking on.

‘Please bear in mind that as all the councils are operating independently their deadlines to apply for the grants differ quite a lot so make sure you know the vital dates for your council as soon as possible.’
