Alpha Development, which has its headquarters in London, has said the advice from Gloucestershire law firm BPE was vital in helping it secure a multi-million pound investment from British Growth Fund.

According to the chief executive officer of the specialist financial training provider, the Cheltenham law firm played a vital part in its bid, with the funding allowing it to pursue growth ambitions both in the UK and across the Atlantic.

BPE’s corporate partner, Adam Kean, along with senior partner John Workman and solicitor Ben Adams, worked with Paul Monk and his team at Alpha Development to ensure the investment process went smoothly.

Monk, whose firm also has offices in New York, Singapore and Abu Dhabi, said: ‘This investment is a key component of Alpha’s growth plans – and so we needed a team of lawyers who would give us pragmatic, commercial advice that would put us in a position where, once the investment was completed, we could hit the ground running.

‘John, Adam and the corporate team at BPE delivered this every step of the way.’

According to Alpha, the financial services’ learning and development market is worth £4.7 billion annually.
