Gloucestershire Engineering Training's brand-new dedicated higher education facility is on track to continue its mission to nurture engineering talent in the county.

Gloucestershire Engineering Training (GET) has announced plans to launch its own dedicated higher education facility, in response to the increasing demand from local employers for advanced engineering skills.

The plans for a new centre at its Gloucester site represent a significant step forward in GET's mission to equip the next generation of engineers with the expertise required to thrive in the industry.

For nearly 50 years, GET has been at the forefront of engineering education, delivering high-quality training that meets the evolving needs of the local engineering sector.

With strong partnerships spanning more than 90 employers across Gloucestershire, the business has built a training environment that nurtures talent and ensures apprentices finish their courses with outstanding skills and knowledge.

Building on its existing provision from level two to level three, this expansion will enable learners to progress seamlessly into level four and beyond — meaning GET can continue to strengthen the region's industrial workforce and help businesses secure highly skilled professionals.

GET gives a behind-the-scenes look at the building process of its brand-new centre for higher education training.

With state-of-the-art equipment, expert tuition and a curriculum designed in collaboration with its employer network, the new facility will provide an unparalleled learning experience for aspiring engineers — following on from the successful 2023 launch of its centre in Cinderford.

Aside from its excellent training, GET also places emphasis on community engagement as well as supporting initiatives that foster collaboration within the county's engineering sector.

GET invites employers to take full advantage of this opportunity by getting in touch to discuss the recruitment of level four apprentices or the upskilling of current staff.

Interested employers can contact GET via email at info@get-trained.org and find out more on the GET website at get-trained.org.
