Hardwick-based Fleet Electric is launching the UK’s first climate positive vehicle leasing service, in a bid to make businesses more sustainable.
It is encouraging small and medium sized businesses to decarbonise their fleets by switching to electric cars and vans, promising an advice and procurement service equivalent to an in-house fleet or transport manager.
Fleet Electric invests in carbon reduction projects and plants 100 trees for every vehicle leased, so that it offsets more carbon dioxide and greenhouse gases than it generates.
Its salary sacrifice scheme is also empowering employees to go electric – allowing them sacrifice part of their salary in return for a brand-new, fully maintained and insured electric car.
Managing Director, Richard Markey, said: ‘A large portion of businesses don’t have the luxury of a dedicated fleet or transport manager to advise their organisations of the most efficient and cost-effective way to achieve an electrified fleet.
‘This is where we can provide advice and assistance in procuring a single vehicle or transitioning an entire fleet to electric in an economical and environmentally friendly way.’
