The latest SoGlos corporate networking event, in partnership with Crowe, proved popular in its second year.
The Gloucestershire Business Shooting Day at Ian Coley Sporting involved contacts, partners, sponsors of its business and lifestyle awards, and bosses of some of Gloucestershire’s best companies to have fun and enjoy a little friendly competition after its successful launch last year.
Crowe, which has 180 staff at its offices in Cheltenham and more than 1,200 UK-wide, was delighted to be back after such a brilliant event in 2022.
Partner at Crowe, Chris Mould, said: 'A day in the fresh air, with a bit of friendly competition, is an excellent and enjoyable way for business leaders to meet up and compare notes. A shooting day in the summer is ideal. It is important – particularly when you are exceptionally busy every day – to seize the opportunity to get out of the workplace, talk to other businesses and gain time to think.'
James Fyrne, co-founder and managing director for Cheltenham-headquartered SoGlos, said: ‘It is always a pleasure to welcome so many guests including CEOs and managing directors from construction, environmental, retail and security sectors.
'We love seeing the enthusiastic conversations and friendly rivalry that unfolds. Co-hosting corporate networking days and helping our business colleagues forge fresh connections is a great win-win for everyone, and it’s been a pleasure to organise this event in partnership with Crowe again.’
Other businesses at the event included RRA
Architects, Gillman's, Rippl, Hewer FM, Avon Metals, ProTrack
Solutions, Allstone Speedy Skips, Outdoor365 Group, Cirencester Fabrication
Services, Dowdeswell Residential, Lanes Health, Hartpury University, MKM
Building Supplies, Vitruvius, Fleet Electric, Workplace
Interiors Co, Severnside Security, Six Property Consulting, Watermoor Point and
Smiths.
The executive team shooting day, staged with accountants Crowe, was hosted by Georgie Martin of Ian Coley Sporting and the expert staff team from the Cotswolds venue. Guests enjoyed a hosted lunch and tour of the new shop, cafe and conference facilities - as well as dessert tubs provided by Cheltenham town centre-based Sisu Pancakes.
