Gloucestershire-based Ontic, one of the country's leading global aviation manufacturers, is opening its eighth office, in Florida in early 2025.
With sites in Bishop's Cleeve and Staverton, the new office in Miramar, Florida, will function as a dedicated maintenance, repair and operations (MRO) centre of excellence, focusing on supporting international customers of Ontic parts and systems.
The new opening comes as part of Ontic's ambitious growth and global strategies to invest in MRO talent and resources, with plans to improve its existing operations while also setting up for future growth.
Ontic will be moving its current North Carolina MRO
operations to the new site in Florida, with no planned job losses as the US team is given the opportunity to relocate to Miramar or move into new manufacturing
roles in North Carolina.
Jack Karapetyan, vice president of Ontic’s global MRO operations, said: 'Opening this eighth Ontic site is another exciting milestone in our growth. Florida was the natural choice for our expansion as it is already an MRO hub with ample skilled labour and a business-friendly environment, which also acts as a gateway to South American markets.
'I’m excited by this investment that will build and grow our MRO operations and enable us to become a benchmark for other MRO centres in the industry.'
Matthew Pritchard, vice president of sales and customer engagement at Ontic, added: 'We recognise that airlines and end users of our products and systems expect a certain level of performance and service.
'This exciting new investment will ensure we can deliver
against these requirements, and I’m looking forward to inviting new customers to
come and see what we are capable of.'
