Hazlewoods completed over £1 billion of mergers and acquisitions in 2024 and ranks as a top 10 adviser in Experian's MarketIQ FY 2024 annual report.

Hazlewoods' corporate finance team has secured a top 10 spot in the Experian MarketIQ FY 2024 annual report, which ranks financial and legal advisers across the UK based on the mergers and acquisitions (M&A) activity they've completed over a 12-month period.

The Gloucestershire firm had a record year in 2024, completing 134 M&A transactions with a combined value of over £1.2 billion — a 20 per cent increase in deal volume compared to 2023 — spanning sales, acquisitions, financing and refinancing, with individual deal values hitting £150 million.

In this latest report, Hazlewoods ranked in the top three across the south west and south east; in the top 10 in London, the midlands, Yorkshire & Humber and Scotland; and reached the top 10 for Wales, rising 13 places from 2023 following the opening of its Cardiff office.

Commenting on its top 10 placement, partner Richard Dade said: 'Securing a top 10 UK adviser ranking is an incredible achievement and a testament to the passion, dedication and expertise of our growing team.

'2024 was a landmark year for Hazlewoods, both in deal delivery and the expansion of our national footprint, effectively responding to strong demand from businesses across the UK. Our continued success is built on deep sector knowledge, our client-first approach and a relentless drive to get deals done.'

Hazlewoods has almost 50 dedicated advisers in its corporate finance team and, despite current economic fluctuations, is expecting a strong year in 2025, too, with appetite from investors remaining strong.

Director Rich Grover added: 'The outlook for 2025 is incredibly promising. We’re seeing continued investor confidence, strong demand for high-quality assets and businesses actively seeking strategic growth opportunities.

'With our national reach and specialist expertise, Hazlewoods Corporate Finance team is perfectly positioned to support clients in navigating the evolving market, maximising value and capitalising on the opportunities ahead.'
