Independent Gloucestershire accountancy, tax, audit and business advisory firm, Hazlewoods, is expanding its already significant presence in the south west with a new Bristol office this March 2025.
Hazlewoods has a well-established base in Gloucestershire where it employs over 550 staff at its offices in Cheltenham and Staverton — as well as an office in Cardiff.
It first established a presence in Bristol around two years ago and its new office on Bull Wharf, in the heart of Bristol's business district, is a result of its continued success in the region and plans to expand its team.
Becki Copping, a partner in Hazlewoods' corporate services team and Gloucestershire Lifestyle Awards 2025 judge, has been appointed as lead for the new Bristol office and will spearhead the planned growth in this area.
Becki has over 20 years of experience and started her career at EY in Bristol before she moved to Hazlewoods — she also lives on the outskirts of Bristol in South Gloucestershire.
She said: 'Hazlewoods’ continued growth into the Bristol market is exciting for me both personally and professionally. Bristol and the wider south west is thriving and now feels like the perfect time for us to further invest in the market.
'Our new office provides a brilliant working environment for our team and will facilitate further growth. I am particularly proud to have the opportunity to lead the Bristol office and look forward to building our presence in the region.'
Other members of Hazlewoods' team with significant experience in Bristol include managing partner James Morter, COO Phil Lane and partner Daniel Bond, who are all well-known in Bristol's business community.
Phil said: 'Having spent more than 25 years working with clients and connectors in the Bristol market, I am delighted we have had the opportunity to expand our office footprint here, marking a significant milestone in our growth strategy. This expansion feels like a natural next step, offering fantastic opportunities to grow both our client base and our talent pool, whilst leveraging our strong, full-service firmwide capability.'
James added: 'We already have a number of key clients and a great team in Bristol and the new office under Becki’s leadership will further enhance our growth prospects in the market. Having spent a significant proportion of my working career in Bristol, it is a market I have always had a strong interest in and I look forward to supporting Becki with her plans.'
Hazlewoods is actively recruiting for new talent for its new Bristol office, with vacancies ranging from entry-level to senior management positions.
