Helping to protect people who work alone, like delivery drivers and tradespeople, Gloucester-based business Protrack Group has launched an innovative lone working solution for advanced tracking and safety alerts.
The multi award-winning company, which specialises in 'off the shelf' and bespoke tracking solutions, has added the Protrack Lone Worker Device (PLWD) to its offering, as an innovative solution for staff members who work alone and may need protection.
Built in-house by the firm's team of experts, the new software not only tracks movements and records GPS locations, but also alerts on 'man down' events, or when the user activates the panic button.
Configured to report live tracking via app and PC, in the event of an accident or slip, the device will automatically detect 'man down' and alert the right personnel by SMS, email and back-office software — sending key information about the incident and the user's location to their relevant contacts.
Whoever receives the alert can then call the device, and even if the user does not answer, they can be connected automatically to listen in and speak to the user who needs support.
Following this, relevant action can be taken to ensure a prompt response to the lone worker's incident.
Plus, there's a full audit trail in a report format, showing a date and time stamp for alerts for the company's record.
The new solution is targeted to benefit delivery drivers, tradesmen in the service industry, building trade, care in the community and machinery staff, along with all other applications where people work alone — and the device can also be used for the elderly, vulnerable and disabled, too.
