Along with the offer of free desk space, Radioactive has a large meeting room available for use at its Gloucester office, too.

Gloucester-based PR company Radioactive is offering free desk space for 'creative types' to work alongside other like-minded professionals at its office in the city centre.

People who live locally and work in creative industries, either remotely or in an environment lacking 'actual human conversation', are being invited to get in touch about making use of a handful of desks at the firm's office, located at the end of Spa Road near Gloucester Quays

The global agency specialises in delivering digital PR stories and stunts, along with media, blogger and influencer relations, for a range of clients including recognised brands like Virgin Media, Just Eat and Paddy Power.

In a blog post shared via Radioactive's website and social media channels, the firm's CEO, Rich Leigh, stressed that there really is no catch to the offer — he simply wants 'to do a nice thing'.

He explained: 'We’ve been bigger as an agency, we’ve been smaller. There has always, even at our biggest headcount, been unused desk space.

'I was speaking to somebody that works from home the other day. They said they wished they could work in a shared work space, but couldn’t stump up the cost — which can be hundreds per month, per person.

'And I know they’re not alone. Life is expensive. Remote work isn’t all it's cracked up to be for many, and with loneliness soaring around the world, it’s clear many miss connection.

'It hit me  we have space for nice, tidy, showered individuals.'

He also assures people that they needn't worry about it being an 'office full of axe murderers or anything', with the company having previously won awards for being a great place to work.

The offer is only open to creative professionals as Radioactive is keen to maximise the opportunity to make contacts with similar businesses.

The firm adds that the desks will be available 'until a time comes when we might need them', with the office opening from 9am to 5.30pm, Monday to Thursday.

Details of how to get in touch about the offer can be found on Radioactive PR's website.
