It's already taken on 14 new staff in 2022 - bringing its team up to 35 - and now Gloucester fintech firm, Virgate, has moved to larger premises in Quedgeley as its turnover soars.
Virgate will soon report a 2022 turnover in excess of £1.3 million, more than double what it was just two years ago.
The company, founded by Sarah Travell in 2017, is an innovative ‘plug and play’ digital finance solution for multi-site, small and medium-sized enterprises in the hospitality, leisure and retail sectors.
She said: 'I was born and bred in Gloucester and it’s important to me that the business is also rooted here and gives back to the local economy.
'Our success over the last five years, despite the challenges of the pandemic, is testimony to the expertise and hard work of every single member of the team.
'Next year, we are planning further expansion and will be generating more local jobs to drive that; something that was key to the decision to move to larger premises that were nevertheless still close to home.'
