‘If you are looking for a leadership role with impact,
then look no further’, is how Hartpury University and Hartpury College describes
the £40,000 to £47,488 a-year position it is seeking to fill.
As head of innovation, careers and enterprise you would help influence the futures of an estimated 4,500 students annually at an institution with an outstanding Ofsted rating in all areas for academic and curriculum-related provision.
Your role will be to lead and drive a dynamic team at the Innovation, Careers and Enterprise Centre, to provide outstanding work experience, placements, careers advice, guidance and enterprise, to both college and university students and to work closely with industry partners to understand the skills needed to equip this next generation of talent.
Stuart Emmerson, director of business development, said: ‘You will be joining at a great time. Hartpury’s ICE service has just been accredited to the highest matrix standard, demonstrating the high quality of information, advice and guidance (IAG) given to its 4,500 strong student population.
‘The ICE team at Hartpury is part of an exciting future for our students and organisation, leading multiple strategic priorities and developments on campus and in the Forest of Dean.’
Those exciting developments include the continued introduction of new buildings, including the new two-storey 3,048 square metre £12.75 million University Learning Hub, which will become home to the ICE team and is expected to open in the new academic year.
Emmerson described the role at ICE as ‘pivotal’, and a position which would also see you work closely with further education and higher education executives as well as the college and university's business development group.
The ICE team will also be responsible for organising Hartpury's Enterprise Finals, run in a similar format to the Dragons’ Den TV show and providing students with an opportunity to develop business acumen, build confidence and potentially boost their career and financial prospects.
The university and college are among the UK’s leading specialist education providers in agriculture, animal, equine, sport and veterinary nursing.
