Businesses in the Cheltenham area are being encouraged to sign up for cross-sector support to build their pathway to net zero carbon emissions — and help others in the borough to do the same.
A wide-ranging collaboration between private and public sector organisations, charities and community groups — funded and led by Cheltenham Borough Council — Cheltenham Zero aims to support local businesses to 'future proof' their operations and reduce costs through achieving net zero.
The scheme is open to businesses of all sizes, serving as an 'ecosystem' where organisations can support each other through the development of ideas and solutions; and seek guidance in areas from carbon literacy and reporting, to action planning and ultimately, making meaningful changes.
Cheltenham Zero held an event in January 2025 to advise local businesses on why they should be exploring decarbonisation; and how they can receive support from other organisations in the area, including the sharing of key resources and skills, by signing up to the initiative.
Those who missed the event can catch up on all the information through a webinar — a trailer for which can viewed below — covering everything from cost savings and other benefits, to gaining support.
