Cotswold RAW has teamed up with Gloucester Rugby, Hartpury University and Hartpury College to back the Gloucester-Hartpury women's rugby team for the 2022/23 season.
A long-term supporter of Hartpury, Cotswold RAW is an advocate for its world-class animal, agricultural and equine facilities – and it has extended its support by becoming a sponsor of its leading rugby union team, which was founded in 2014 as the unified women's team of Gloucester Rugby and Hartpury University RFC.
Going from strength-to-strength, the women's team is currently leading the Allianz 15 premiership and have even switched a number of their home games from the ALPAS Arena to Gloucester Rugby's iconic Kingsholm stadium, in response to a growing interest in the women's game.
The raw pet food provider has additionally partnered with champion Gloucester-Hartpury player, Zoe Aldcroft, who also represents England women's national rugby union team.
One of women's rugby's most formidable players, Aldcroft was named World Rugby's Women's Player of the Year in 2021 – which is no small feat!
Chris Brierley, co-founder and company director at Cotswold RAW, said: 'Our relationship with Hartpury has been in existence for a long time. Many of our own Cotswold RAW team studied there, and we've attended Raw Feeding Veterinary Society conferences on campus too.
'We're therefore delighted to be one of the official sponsors of Gloucester-Hartpury this season, and proud to announce our partnership with Zoe Aldcroft and her dog, Luna! Luna has been loving the switch to raw food recently – and Zoe certainly knows how to fuel a champion performance!'
Cotswold RAW produces raw food for dogs, following a BARF-approved formula of raw meat, bones, herbs and seasonal vegetables to replicate dogs' natural diet. It also offers a convenient subscription service so Gloucestershire dogs can get their dinners delivered straight to their door.
The Cotswold RAW team will be cheering Gloucester-Hartpury on during its big home games at the ALPAS Arena and Kingsholm this season – and rugby fans can take their dogs along to meet them, get expert advice on canine health and enter some treat and prize giveaways, too!
Dog owners can find out more about raw feeding at its first activation day at the ALPAS Arena on Saturday 11 March 2023.
