Gloucestershire-based ‘adrenaline activity operator’, Hangloose Adventure, is celebrating a milestone this week, as it begins construction on England’s longest zip line at Bluewater Shopping Centre in Kent. It celebrated the occasion with the aid of the country’s largest spade!
The new addition is part of an adventure park, which will be situated amongst 50 acres of parkland at the well-known shopping centre, and is due to open for February half term in 2021.
Once open, the Cirencester company has been commissioned to add more experiences over the following three years. Including an outdoor skydiving machine, Europe’s largest swing and Europe’s largest outdoor climbing wall.
Commenting on the project, Hangloose Adventure’s managing director, Brian Phelps, said: ‘We love doing big projects and this will be one of the biggest and most exciting activities available anywhere in Europe, super-fast and super-accessible.
‘At a time when there is so much uncertainty, we feel it’s right to remain positive about the future and plan for the next four years rather than the next three months.’
Hangloose Adventure is based in the village of Preston outside Cirencester, and already operates the giant zip line which runs over the Eden Project biomes in Cornwall.
