Cheltenham's John Lewis store has been crowned the company's Branch of the Year for 2023, leading the way for overall performance among its 34 UK shops.
The department store, which opened in 2018 at the former Beechwood Shopping Centre on Cheltenham High Street, topped the John Lewis league table for sales metrics in 2023 and also excelled in other key performance areas.
One of the smaller branches in the John Lewis estate, the Cheltenham store saw off competition from the company's flagship on London's Oxford Street along with a host of bigger stores across the country to be named the top performer of 2023.
Claire Hester, the store's brand experience manager, posted on LinkedIn: 'So proud that John Lewis Cheltenham has been voted Branch of the Year, topping all other stores in the John Lewis estate.
'We’re one of the smaller John Lewis branches but we certainly punch above our weight. Judged across all our KPIs, not least sales metrics in which we also topped the league table for 2023.
'Well done and thank you to the fabulous team I work with.'
