The 2024 UK’s Best Workplaces in Financial Services & Insurance™ list by Great Place To Work® UK, has recognised Cheltenham's PoloWorks as one of the leading organisations in the 'large and super large' category.

In a recent internal survey, staff at PoloWorks consistently highlighted the company’s commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive workplace, making PoloWorks a great place to work.

Among various initiatives, colleagues say they value the company’s flexible and hybrid working policies to help them balance professional responsibilities with personal commitments.

This approach is supported by a recent refurbishment of the open-plan offices at The Grange in Bishop's Cleeve, in a bid to create a collaborative environment that encourages teamwork and innovation.

The recognition also reflects PoloWorks’ ongoing efforts to embed a culture of respect and inclusion across the organisation. The launch of the company's PRIDE values, spanning being pioneering, responsible, inclusive, delivery-focused and empowering, has played a crucial role in ensuring staff feel valued and respected, regardless of age, sex, race, or background.

PoloWorks is dedicated to the development of its colleagues with an in-house learning and development team driving educational programs, including a management program. It also sponsors Chartered Insurance Institute qualifications.

Staff also get volunteering days, to contribute to causes that are meaningful to them and connect them to the wider community.

Great Place To Work® UK administered the research-backed Trust Index© employee survey and analysed responses from financial services and insurance employees across the country to determine the Best Workplaces™ list.

Staff were asked to evaluate their company’s support for work-life balance, job satisfaction, psychological safety, and financial security. The survey also assessed how consistently the experience is delivered across the whole business.

Head of people at PoloWorks, Harriet Mathew, said: 'Being recognised as one of the UK’s Best Workplaces in Financial Services and Insurance affirms our ongoing efforts to build a workplace where every individual can thrive.

'We will continue to invest in our people and cultivate an environment where everyone feels empowered to reach their full potential.'

Managing director of Great Place To Work® UK, Benedict Gautrey, added: 'The Best Workplaces in Financial Services & Insurance list is created using anonymous feedback from employees working in the industry about their workplace experience.

'It helps leaders, not only make better-informed decisions on areas for improvement, but also gives employers a data-based understanding of what aspects of their current offering make them stand out, helping to build a more competitive employer brand.

'It’s great to see so many examples of organisations making their workplaces truly great. A huge congratulations to PoloWorks for making this prestigious list.'
