Future Advanced Manufacture, a Cheltenham-based business specialising in the development of complex next-generation engineering has announced the appointment of its new sales and marketing director.
Samuel Wood brings more than 15 years' experience to the role, with past positions including general manager and director roles for a range of organisations with up to £1 billion turnovers — his most recent being sales director at international manufacuring company, Winbro Group Technologies.
Originally from Gloucestershire, Samuel also worked his way up at Warwickshire-based engineering firm, JJ Churchill Ltd, from director of business development to director of engineering sales in less than a year.
Within his role as sales and marketing director at Future Advanced Manufacture, Samuel will be working closely with both prospective and current clients, using his technical skills to sell concepts, deliver results and ensure customer satisfation and retention.
He will also be overseeing an expert team and monitor communication and sales activities as they turn concepts and designs into 'highly engineered prototypes and high-quality scalable production.'
Samuel said: 'Having a dedicated Research and Development (R&D) facility is unique for a sub-contract machining company as well as the skill set of the people at Future, tackling the most challenging of technical machining requirements sets the business apart in the market. This is what initially drew me to the role.'
