Performance reports from SoGlos's proprietary content management system, SoCMS, reveal that from June to December 2024, SoGlos attracted an average of 55,109 views per month to its Business section articles — each carefully crafted by its in-house team of professional journalists.
Business content beat foodie stories for the first time, with the SoGlos Food & Drink section attracting an average of 54,272 monthly views over the same period.
SoGlos CEO Michelle Fyrne said: 'Analysis of monthly section-by-section traffic using SoCMS data for the first time is a really useful gauge of reader interest.
'It's really encouraging to see the appetite for business-focused content in the county and how well our modern, accessible approach to business journalism has resonated with audiences — all enabling SoGlos to continue to grow and build on its heritage.
'The performance of the Business section has not only strengthened SoGlos's position as Gloucestershire’s leading media brand, but audience numbers have also grown overall.'
Ranked by average views a month, the SoGlos Family section came third with 30,448 views; followed by Outdoors 26,153; Culture 24,155; Visit 17,990; Entertainment 16,736; Property & Interiors 13,107; Weddings 9,340; and the newest section Health & Wellbeing, introduced in 2024 attracted 8,858 views each month. While the Home section attracted an unprecedented 63,111 views per month.
SoGlos officially launched its Business section in September 2020 and has since published more than 2,000 professionally-written business articles, crafted 210 issues of weekly business newsletters, as well as hosting four highly-successful years of Gloucestershire's leading Business Awards.
