New figures from B Local Gloucestershire reveals that B Corps grew by £20 million in the county since March 2024, with 143 new jobs also being created as a result of the eco-friendly business movement.
B Local Gloucestershire surveyed certified organisations across the county during March 2025 for B Corp Month and found that the majority of businesses had experienced an increase in revenue and/or employees since becoming accredited.
Gloucestershire also hit a new milestone of 50 B Corp accredited businesses during B Corp Month 2025, an increase of more than double since March 2023 — this ranks the county in the top ten for B Corps in the UK.
Spread across the country, B Corps span a variety of sectors from travel and hospitality to agriculture and design.
B Local Gloucestershire is one of 14 groups in the UK bringing B Corp businesses together, including Stroud's When In Rome Wines — which saw its innovative paper wine bottles featured on celebrity tables at the 2025 Brit Awards held at the O2 Arena in London.
Simon Evans, owner of Clear Future Financial Planners, which became the first financial advisory company to achieve B Corp certification in Gloucestershire in September 2024, said: 'B Corp accreditation has ensured that we consider all stakeholders when making business decisions and are working towards more rewarding aims than just simply chasing profit.'
Co-chair of B Local Gloucestershire, Camilla Barnes, added: 'We’re thrilled to reach the milestone of 50 B Corp certified businesses in Gloucestershire and to be able to celebrate this B Corp Month by sharing the direct impact those businesses have on our local economy.
'It’s a real testament to the county that such a wide variety and size of businesses have chosen to pursue accreditation. It’s not easy for a reason and it’s awarded to those who truly wish to grow sustainably.
'We are proud to be able to bring Gloucestershire B Corps together, as well as support businesses without accreditation to either work to achieve it or find other ways they can put people, profit and planet at the heart of what they do.
'Here’s to the next 50 and beyond!'
