In 2024, The Greenway Hotel and Spa won a national award for its wellbeing programme for employees.
It was recognised for its unique 'happiness programme' that focuses on mood-boosting activities that rewarded and celebrated its staff.
Now, the Greenway is rolling its 'happy hub' out to businesses across Gloucestershire, offering a unique, wellbeing meeting package at the hotel that includes healthy drinks, meals and treats; skincare goodie bags; time outside in the fresh air of its beautiful grounds; and even an overnight stay in its stunning guest rooms.
Described as 'business with a feel-good factor', The Greenway's new Core package is aimed at businesses needing an all-day meeting room with full catering.
The hotel wanted to offer something more unique for Gloucestershire's business community, coming up with the idea of a meeting package that 'focuses on mind, body and soul', which promotes 'staff welfare, positive mental health and encourages creativity'.
As part of the happiness programme it offers its own staff, the hotel researched the science behind natural highs and the effect they have on the body and mind, with dopamine being associated with rewards, oxytocin with love, serotonin with wellbeing and endorphins with euphoria.
And based on this research, the hotel and its chefs created activities and menus designed to promote and balance these happy hormones.
For £65 per person, the package includes, room hire with mineral water, cordials and trail mix; a Gaia skincare gift pack; arrival drinks in the outdoor Hide; decaf coffee and herbal teas; healthy breakfast muffins; mid-morning and afternoon treats; and a two-course buffet lunch.
The chefs at the Greenway have developed a perfectly balanced and healthy menu of snacks and buffet options, such as energy balls, cookies, smoothies, protein bars and plant-based hot chocolate; with buffet items like BBQ mushroom bao buns, avocado salad, chocolate chia pots and Mediterranean turkey skillet.
Corporate guests are able to upgrade their package to include an overnight stay with a three-course dinner in the 3 AA Rosette Garden Room restaurant, from £245.
