Just nine months into its construction, the developer of Cotswolds Designer Outlet has revealed that 75 per cent of its retail space is already secured by fashion, sport, lifestyle and food and beverage brands.

The luxury shopping destination, just off the M5 at junction 8 and right next to Dobbies' flagship store near Tewkesbury, is all set for a Phase One opening in spring 2025, with brands either exchanged or in legals to take up its premium retail space.

It's the latest update from developer Robert Hitchins, with property and development director Simon Tothill commenting: 'There’s been a tremendous effort behind the scenes from the team at Robert Hitchins and our leasing and operating partner Multi-Realm, to curate a line-up of fashion, lifestyle, homewares, sports and F&B brands that will make Cotswolds Designer Outlet a must-visit destination and day out in this key location at Tewkesbury.'

Delivered by Bouygues UK, the project has also reached some major construction milestones — including 6,000 steel beams and columns already installed, with nearly 90 per cent of steel frame structures also now complete.

Following the completion of the steel structures, the next stages of the programme include finishing the building envelopes, then the externals and landscaping, before units can be handed over to the new tenants for their internal fit outs.

John Boughton, Bouygues UK's managing director for the south west and Wales, added: 'Our site team has been incredibly busy powering through key stages of this programme, from the steel frames to the scaffolding, from ground works to roofing.

'On average, we have around 100 people working on site each day and the stunning drone videos show just how far we’ve come.'

Cotswolds Designer Outlet is expected to create up to 500 new retail jobs across more than 55 individual stores and restaurants, as well as in the management and operations teams of the outlet centre itself.

Mutli-Realm is currently recruiting for key roles within the management team, including operations manager and marketing and engagement manager positions.
