Following the cancellation of this year’s Cheltenham Music Festival due to the Coronavirus outbreak, Cheltenham Music Festival: Replay brings the best of the fest to its first ever online-only event, this summer.

There will be brand-new content alongside previous Cheltenham Music Festival highlights all available to watch for free on the Cheltenham Festivals website from Saturday 4 July 2020.

See 2020 guest curator, Jules Buckley, talk about his life in music; past composer academy participants talk about their experiences and share performances they commissioned; Michael Betteridge and Philippa Claridge reflect on the legacy of the festival’s community opera with the full performance of Across The Sky, all available to watch on YouTube videos.

Plus, in a series of six new podcasts, head of programming at Cheltenham Music Festival, Camilla King, interviews composers and musicians including Judith Weir, Lucy Schaufer and Zoe Martlew, alongside archive recordings of previous festival world premieres and Thea Musgrave’s 2019 keynote address.

Cheltenham Music Festival: Replay will be available to watch for free online from Saturday 4 July 2020. Next year’s Cheltenham Music Festival will take place from Friday 2 to Sunday 11 July 2021.
