David Schwimmer will play the leading role in the brand new Sky One comedy sitcom, Intelligence, about life at Cheltenham’s GCHQ. All six episodes will be available on Sky One from Friday 21 February 2020.
Filming for Intelligence wrapped in July 2019 and despite being set in Cheltenham, was actually filmed in Reading.
The official Sky One trailer is available to watch now…
The six-episode workplace comedy is set within Cheltenham’s Government Communications Headquarters, which Sky describes as ‘a weedier, geekier, more bureaucratic version of MI5 and MI6,’ where an NSA agent joins an inept computer analyst, played by actor and Intelligence writer Nick Mohammed.
Jon Mountague, Sky Entertainment’s head of comedy, said: ‘Nick Mohammed has written a brilliantly funny comedy series in Intelligence.
‘David and Nick are hilarious together and so perfectly represent the special relationship between our two great nations. I can’t wait.’
Sharing a clip of the sitcom on his Twitter account, David Schwimmer celebrated GCHQ’s 100th anniversary.
For 100 years, @GCHQ have taken background checks VERY seriously.
