Montpellier Courtyard is a haven of independent boutique shops, stores and eateries in one of the prettiest areas of Cheltenham.

If you're headed on a weekend wander around Cheltenham's pretty Montpellier district, take a turn off the beaten track and pop into Montpellier Courtyard.

Edible Art Patisserie

One of only three delightful spots in the UK, with a fourth soon to open in Birmingham, visitors to Edible Art Patisserie can feast on delicacies that look far too good to eat, ranging from candy-coloured macarons to the prettiest petit gateau, as well as melt-in-the-mouth choux pastry.

The work of artist Damien Wager, this sugary spot provides a proper treat for the palate as well as the eye, with the team also running courses, if you fancy learning how to make the perfect patisserie at home.

Sam's Montpellier

This independent restaurant is a regular haunt for those in the know. Chef Sam Price prides himself on delivering a terrific range of flavours inspired by the earth, land and sea, with tapas sized dishes designed for sharing — or not! 

It offers a fantastic three-for-two plates lunchtime offer from Wednesdays to Sundays. Cocktails are a must, too, shaken up by its very own mixologist, who'll listen to your favourites and suggest a new tipple to try, if you're not sure what you fancy.
