Elkstone Studios

Elkstone Studios is a unique multi-venue destination in the heart of the Cotswolds, with shopping, beauty, food, health, kids' areas and co-working spaces all on offer within its stunningly converted barns and picturesque grounds.

Set in a picturesque rural location in between Cheltenham and Cirencester, Elkstone Studios is a collection of beautifully converted barns in the quintessentially Cotswolds village of Elkstone.

Converted by the current owners, Elkstone was once a working farm, but now functions as a hub for businesses specialising in retail, design, food, and wellness.

There's Jesse Smith the butchers; Knead bakery, The Cotswold Bed Company and Origin health club, to name but a few. There's even flexible workspaces to hire, EV charging and a twice monthly popular farmers' market.

SoGlos highlights just a few of the fabulous reasons to visit Elkstone Studios.

Monthly farmers' market

On the first and third Sunday of each month, the Elkstone Studios farmers' market showcases everything local, from gin, cheese and loose-leaf tea to fudge, pastries, fish and olives, to pick out just a few.

There's also a bar, food pop-ups, music and your four-legged friends are welcome, too! The market opens from 9.30am to 2.30pm.

Children's playground

A gorgeous play area popular with little ones, the playground is suitable for kids up to the age of 12, with swings, a slide, rope bridges and a see-saw, plus newly added monkey bars and a fabulous playhouse, too.

There's benches for when little ones (and parents!) need refueling, with the bakery just a few paces away.

Shop the on-site retailers and health businesses

A big selection of retailers and businesses are located on-site at Elkstone Studios. There's accessories from Clare Haggas; women's clothing from Arambha; jewellery from Zoraida; plants, cards and candles from Plant Shed; wallpaper and fabric from Cinny; interior designer Lauren Gilberthorpe is based there too; Olive & Barr artisan kitchens; and The Cotswold Bed Company.

And for foodies, there's Knead bakery and patisserie, that offers a brunch menu and also has a bar; and Jesse Smith butcher and delicatessen that stocks farm shop produce, too.

Take care of your health and wellbeing

Alongside a spot of retail therapy, Elkstone also boasts four health and wellbeing businesses.

There's osteopathy and physiotherapy at Origin Health; non-surgical aesthetic treatments at Body and Face Clinic; two padel courts at Padel Shift; and cut and colouring at hair salon There She Glows. Perfect for a day of pampering and self-care.

Tipi for hire with bar and Sonos surround sound

A unique events venue, the Elk Tipi can be hired for special occasions and events, workshops and parties. It’s heated and has Sonos surround sound, seating for 40 guests and standing for 120.  There's also an outdoor terrace and amphitheatre-style grass steps, a bar, running water and a projector with a 90-inch screen.

Co-working spaces and meeting rooms

For a peaceful workspace in the most idyllic surroundings with easy access to shops for lunch and coffee, Elkstone's co-working offices come with free parking and unlimited use of the on-site gym.

Choose from hot desks, private call pods and meeting rooms in light-filled converted barns to set up for the day, each with access to a kitchenette, coffee pod machine and kettle. Different packages and subscriptions are available to suit, with day passes starting at £25 plus VAT and monthly packages starting at £75 plus VAT.

State-of-the-art-gym with personal trainers and classes

All co-working package users get unlimited access to Elkstone's on-site gym, which includes state-of-the-art equipment, appointments with personal trainers, a range of classes, showers and changing rooms.

There's also a range of cardio equipment and a free weights studio to enjoy, but not only that, people who sign up to a gym membership only also get a day's use per month in the co-working space, meaning you can use one of your hybrid days to work from somewhere new with glorious views of the Cotswold countryside! A gym package starts at £42 plus VAT per month, with personal training sessions and fitness classes extra.

Electric vehicle charging points

Ideal for shoppers and workers alike, there are several EV charging points at Elkstone, located in the car park and powered by Osprey.

Elkstone's location makes for the perfect charging pitstop to break up a longer car journey, especially with its on-site bakery, Knead, for stocking up on lunch and snacks.

Workshops throughout the year

Elkstone has a gorgeous calendar of craft and wellbeing workshops planned throughout the year, with classes such as floristry and yoga taking place in the Elk Tipi on various dates and available for the whole community to enjoy.

Check the events calendar on the Elkstone website for up-to-date times, days and prices.

Free parking

Parking is completely free at Elkstone, with over 150 spaces available and EV charging, too. Whether you're visiting the farm shop, the gym, the kids' playground or the hair salon, you can arrive safe in the knowledge that you'll always be able to find a convenient parking space, whatever type of vehicle you drive.

Dog-friendly facilities

Your four-legged friends will always receive the warmest of welcomes at Elkstone Studios, with staff on-hand to direct you and your pooch to the dog-friendly areas (and hoping for a waggy cuddle, too!).

Its picturesque rural spot lends itself to some beautiful dog walks in the nearby villages and areas, so dog owners can make a morning or an afternoon of it, stopping for coffee and lunch at the bakery after a good stomp through the countryside. Dogs are welcome in all of Elkstone's shops, but not in the co-working offices, gym or meeting room.
