Promising a jam-packed weekend of food and drink, world-class live music and plenty of festival fun for all the family, Big Feastival is set to be one of the most unmissable events of summer 2024.
Gearing you up for this year's exciting event, SoGlos has handpicked seven brilliant reasons to head to Blur bassist Alex James’s farm when Big Feastival returns for its 13th year from Friday 23 to Sunday 25 August 2024.
Watch the biggest bands at the Big Feastival
Considered the 'Glastonbury of the Cotswolds', this year’s Big Feastival headliners include The Voice UK sensation Becky Hill on Friday evening; Ministry of Sound Classical headlining on Saturday; with UK alternative-rock band Snow Patrol bringing the festival to a close on Sunday night — plus Circa Waves, Johnny Marr, Jax Jones, Scouting for Girls, Ella Henderson, Joel Corry, Ash and Natasha Bedingfield also on the line-up.
Some exciting up-and-comers on the music bill include Cian Ducrot; CMAT; and Jalen Ngonda. Plus, Big Feastival favourites such as the risqué musical comedy troupe The Cuban Brothers make a return, too.
See top culinary talent at the Big Feastival
Big Feastival is as much about food as it is music, with demonstrations, talks and interviews from Michelin-starred chefs and world-famous gourmet gurus, alongside supper clubs, street food and pop-ups, meaning there’s something for everybody to get their teeth into.
Big Feastival's culinary headliners include the completely self-taught, two-Michelin-starred chef, Raymond Blanc; mother-daughter duo Andi and Miquita Oliver; and highly decorated pastry chef Cherish Finden, who's best known for starring as a formidable judge on Channel 4's Bake Off: The Professionals. Plus, foodies can see cookery demos from Jack Stein; award-winning chef, author and presenter Max La Manna; low-ingredient baker Fitwaffle; Greek-Cypriot cook Georgina Hayden; 'The Nigella of Wine' Hannah Crosbie; and loads more.
Marvel at the Big Feastival's family entertainment
Packed with family-fun, Big Feastival has plenty for little ones — and bigger kids too!
Look forward to petting animals at Adam Henson’s Cotswold Farm Park; get creative at Lizzie's Way Wild Play; meet children’s TV megastar Justin Fletcher; catch appearances from much-loved characters like Bluey and Bingo; as well as taking the opportunity to learn some cool new skills at circus school; or party hard at family raves!
Indulge in five-star boutique camping at the Big Feastival
After a long day of partying, feasting and soaking up the summer sunshine, what could be better than receiving a dose of laid-back luxury with Big Feastival's five-star-style Boutique Camping accommodation?
This year, the festival has partnered with Green Yurts to provide a home away from home for campers — offering top-notch facilities for ultimate relaxation and comfort. Expect everything from raised beds with memory foam mattresses, power sockets and hanging clothes storage, to hot showers and flushing toilets; plus a cinema tent to chill out with a film and some popcorn; and even a pamper tent to get yourself feeling festival fabulous.
Support children's health and wellbeing at the Big Feastival
Each year, Big Feastival works with charities and organisations that create positive initiatives for children and families, to help provide food education and ensure everyone enjoys a nutritious and healthy lifestyle.
This year, the festival is supporting UK-based charity The Flying Seagull Project, which works with disadvantaged young people in the UK, as well as across Europe and the Middle East — offering more than 20 entertainers engaged in arts workshops; music and dance lessons; circus shows and clown doctoring.
It's accessible
Big Festival is working towards make the event accessible for all — and brand-new for 2024, it is pleased to be working with Performance Interpreting Ltd, which is providing BSL (British Sign Language) interpretation throughout the festival weekend. Big Feastival also offers Essential Companion Tickets at no extra cost for adult ticketholders who require additional assistance, as well as accessible facilities for those who need them.
Plus, festivalgoers will also be able to reserve an electric scooter or manual wheelchair in advance, ready for collection when they arrive, thanks to Big Feastival's partnership with Event Mobility — a registered charity which aims to provide access to shows and events for the disabled, elderly and mobility impaired through the short term loan of electric scooters and manual wheelchairs.
