The Farmer's Dog, near Burford
Having bought the former Windmill pub near Burford, marmite-star Jeremy Clarkson has revamped the prominently positioned pub which offers magnificent views across the Windrush Valley — updating not only the interiors, but with the adage of a new name: The Farmer's Dog.
Images previewing the opening on social media show the glass-covered bar that showcases grains, lined with taps of his Hawkstone beers and ciders. It's also stocked with English wines and British fruit juices and fizzy drinks. The pub is not taking reservations at the moment, with availability on a first come, first served basis.
Circo Brasserie in Cheltenham
After a three-year wait, JM Socials' 10th restaurant, Circo Brasserie on Bath Road in Cheltenham, is finally open — serving up 'European and Italian favourites'.
Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, diners can expect dishes such as prawn, crab and tomato linguine; BBQ cauliflower and couscous; beefburgers and steaks cooked over Binchotan charcoal on a Konro grill; sourdough pizza; and pistachio cannoli for dessert; with a dedicated kids menu and some vegan options, too.
