Cheltenham BID is a business-led, not-for-profit organisation delivering services which make Cheltenham a great place to work, live, visit, study and do business. The BID zone covers Cheltenham town centre, including the High Street, The Promenade, Montpellier and The Brewery Quarter.

Cheltenham Food + Drink Week is back for the third year this September 2024 and it's promising to serve up a feast to remember.

Carefully curated by Cheltenham BID and Visit Cheltenham, the celebration of all that's tasty in town is running from Monday 16 to Sunday 22 September 2024, and it's got a host of delicious dishes, masterclasses, chef collaborations and specials on the menu.

An Evening with Cheltenham’s Culinary Stars

An Evening with Cheltenham’s Culinary Stars at the Queens Hotel kicks things off on Monday 16 September 2024, with a drinks reception followed by a panel discussion with co-host of Channel 4’s popular Sunday Brunch, Simon Rimmer, and a delicious three-course dinner.


Simon will be joined by some of Cheltenham’s most renowned local culinary stars, including Simon Diprose of the Queens Hotel, Jon Howe from Michelin-starred Lumiere, Warren O'Connor and Lawrie Jeffries from The Jockey Club and Laura Evans of Sisu Pancakes.

Cheltenham Chilli Fiesta

On Saturday 21 September 2024 from 2pm onwards, Cheltenham’s vibrant The Brewery Quarter is hosting its first Cheltenham Chilli Fiesta — promising to be the town’s hottest event of the year!

This family-friendly, free event features fiery and fun eating competitions for all ages, live music, local independent food and drink stalls and a fascinating food talk and a Q&A session with a chilli expert from Clifton Chilli Club.

Pub Quiz Crawl

Those who enjoy a tipple can discover some of Cheltenham’s best drinking venues from 6pm onwards on Thursday 19 September 2024 as Cheltenham Food + Drink Week’s Pub Quiz Crawl hops between charming pubs and trendy bars around the town’s upper high street area.

Perfect for groups of friends, this fun, informal evening includes an interactive quiz and opportunities to uncover secrets from bar staff whilst savouring delicious, unique beverages.

Five-course Korean set menu

For a tantalising taste of authentic Korean cuisine, head to Nagomi on Wednesday 18 September 2024 and indulge in a five-course Korean set menu with complementary drink pairings for £45 per person, inspired by the most popular Korean movies and TV shows.

This event is expected to be popular, so reservations are required, visit the restaurant website to secure your spot.

Fine dining with wine

An epic wine pairing challenge between the Lumiere team versus The Grape Escape team will also take place on Wednesday 18 September 2024.

Diners can enjoy an exclusive dinner whilst experiencing culinary genius colliding with wonderful wine expertise.

Michelin-starred guest chef

The exclusive food programme also features the very special opportunity to celebrate the changing of the seasons at Purslane restaurant with chef and patron, Gareth Fulford alongside Michelin-starred guest chef, Richard Craven, from The Royal Oak Whatcote.

The chefs are crafting an exclusive seven-course land and sea tasting menu, created using sustainable caught seafood from British waters, wild meat and foraged ingredients, served with a glass of English sparkling wine on arrival.

Shake-up the perfect cocktail

Cocktail lovers should head to The Alchemist in The Brewery Quarter, where in-house mixologists are hosting daily cocktail-making masterclasses, giving an expert insight into perfecting the perfect tasty tipple.

Try a feast of flavours with plenty of theatrical tricks and tips thrown in.

Whisky and steak

Diners can get stuck into a five-course exclusive dinner hosted by Sef Steakhouse with a Macallan brand ambassador, to discover more about the different expressions of Macallan whiskies, finishing with the Macallan 18-year-old sherry oak cask.

Expect a laden banquet table and be prepared to fork out £180 per person.

Gin, beer and whisky masterclasses

For lovers of gin, beer and whisky, masterclasses are running during the week, led by in house specialists at Brewhouse & Kitchen at The Brewery Quarter. Discover a fresh favourite flavour and learn something new.

There'll also be elevated rustic American-British infused dishes on special menus over the week, with two courses for £20 and three for £25.

Be the first at Cooks Club launch

On Thursday 19 September 2024, Tailors in Cheltenham’s town centre is launching its new Cooks Club.

Each monthly event in this series will deliver a one-hour live cooking demonstration by a talented chef, followed by a two-course lunch, for £20 per person. Each event will have a different theme, and the first is focused on fish. Advanced reservations are required and can be booked on the pub's website.
