Cheltenham Round Table

Providing a night of spectacular entertainment that's perfect for families, Gloucestershire’s biggest annual fireworks event at Cheltenham Racecourse is hosted by Cheltenham Round Table, with the event raising much-needed money for local charities.

It's almost time to celebrate Guy Fawkes Night in Gloucestershire again — and SoGlos has rounded up 14 glittering firework displays and crackling bonfires to enjoy under the stars in 2024.  

With plenty of events happening across Cheltenham, the Cotswolds, the Forest of Dean, Gloucester, Stroud and Tewkesbury this autumn, there's never been a better excuse to bundle the family up in hats and scarves and prepare to 'oooh' and 'aaah' at the spectacular displays planned.

Cheltenham Round Table fireworks at Cheltenham Racecourse

Known for being one of the best family fireworks shows in town, Cheltenham Round Table is hosting an evening jam-packed with entertainment at Cheltenham Racecourse on Saturday 9 November 2024, with the event set to have children's funfair rides; television favourites Bluey and Bingo in attendance; food and drink stalls; and of course, a spectacular fireworks display illuminating the skies above Cheltenham.

Advance ticket prices cost £10 per adult and £5 per child, rising to £12 and £6 on the day.

Guiting Power bonfire and fireworks

Welcoming visitors of all ages to enjoy a host of fabulous fireworks, Guiting Power bonfire and fireworks display takes place from 5pm on Sunday 3 November 2024. There will be a selection of tasty hot food, drinks and sweets on offer, as well as fairground rides, stalls and music to keep children entertained. 

Entry to the event is free, with donations supporting the village RABI (Royal Agriculture Benevolent Institution) welcome. 

Fireworks at Cattle Country Farm Park

Sure to have crowds 'ooh-ing' and 'ahh-ing', Cattle Country Farm Park's anticipated annual firework event is back for three nights of dazzling entertainment on Friday 1, Saturday 2 and Sunday 3 November 2024, with tickets starting from £13.

Alongside the awesome display, families will have the whole afternoon to enjoy the park and its activities, take part in s'mores toasting, as well as the chance to tuck in to hot takeaway food and grab a drink from the pop-up bar — just don't forget to wrap up warm!

Imjin Barracks Fireworks and Funfair Extravaganza

The Imjin Barracks Sports Pitches in Innsworth plays host to a blazing bonfire and two fantastic fireworks displays on Wednesday 30 October 2024 — with an earlier, child-friendly display at 6pm, followed by a larger and louder show firing at 7pm, ending the evening.

Open to the public for the first time in many years, visitors can expect funfair thrills, catering provided by ESS Caterers to indulge in while they watch the display, as well as music by Matt from Major Entertainments to keep the atmosphere buzzing. Tickets cost £11.96 per adult, £9.44 for children age three to 15, with infants going free. 

Tewkesbury bonfire and fireworks display

The Tewkesbury bonfire and fireworks display returns to the Vineyard Playing fields for another year on Sunday 3 November 2024, with the usual bonfire night displays, as well as refreshments and amusements to keep the whole family entertained.

This annual event, organised by Tewkesbury Rotary Club is free of charge, with donations welcome.

Miserden fireworks display and bonfire 

Join Miserden as it hosts a fireworks display and bonfire on Saturday 2 November 2024, with all proceeds going to Miserden Primary School.

Spectators can enjoy an evening of glittering fireworks; a selection of food; mulled wine, beer or cider for grown-ups; and even a glow in the dark disco. Tickets bought in advance cost £9 per adult, £5 for under 16s and £23 for a family of four. 

Fireworks at Dunkertons

Promising a family friendly evening of fantastic food and drink, music and a huge fireworks display, join Dunkertons on Monday 4 November 2024 for its spectacular rocket show. 

Get ready for an unforgettable night of pure magic and wonder during this low-noise display, along with musical entertainment to keep everyone warmed up and the atmosphere charged. Plus, all the usual food and drinks will be available throughout the evening. Adult tickets cost £24.50 per person, £13.36 for children aged three to 15, with under-threes going free. 

Speech House fireworks and FERN bonfire

Returning for another year, Forest of Dean Lions Club is inviting families across Gloucestershire to its charity bonfire and fireworks night at Speech House field on Saturday 2 November 2024.

With the evening sure to go off with a bang, attendees can expect to see a sparkling fireworks display by Firemagic; Danter's Fun Fair entertainment; as well as the chance to tuck in to burgers, hot dogs, drinks, doughnuts and sweets. Costing £10 per ticket — with kids going for free — all profits go towards benefiting the local people of the forest. 

Five Valleys fireworks

Entertaining people across the county for more than half a century, the Five Valleys fireworks event will return to Marling School Playing Field on Monday 28 October 2024, for a thrilling evening of entertainment, with a fun fair, Punch and Judy show and refreshments. 

All ticket proceeds will be donated to a number of charities, with the total funds raised over the years approaching an impressive £250,000. Pre-booked adult tickets cost £10 per person, with primary school children costing £5 each. Please note, tickets bought on the gate cost 20 per cent more. 

FSC Fireworks Display and Bonfire 

Hosted by the Fire Service College Mess Club, a dazzling fireworks display is planned in Moreton-in-Marsh on Thursday 8 November 2024 — celebrating the 50th anniversary of the college.

With hot food to satisfy your cravings; drinks stands, including a Hawkstone Cider trailer; a bonfire; local market stalls; fairground rides; and more available on the night, it's sure to be a popular display. Entry is free, with donations to the Firefighters Charity encouraged. 

Fairford Fireworks

Organised by the Fairford School PTA, an evening of spectacular fireworks is planned at Fairford Cricket Club on Saturday 9 November 2024.

Alongside a massive firework display by the renowned Chase Lane Fireworks, visitors can also expect hot food on-site, drink stalls serving festive drinks including mulled wine and hot chocolate and a bar, to add to the evening's entertainment.

Croft Farm Fireworks Spectacular

A dazzling autumn event, set in the the grounds of Croft Farm Water Park, the evening promises a spectacular display of fireworks on Friday 1 November 2024, as the the night sky illuminates with spectacular colours.

Expect live music from Jimmy Moore, along with a selection of food and drink to indulge in while enjoying the captivating show. Tickets cost £20 per car, with those entering on foot charged £5 per person. Under-fives go free. 

Aston Down Airfield Cotswold Gliding Club fireworks

On Saturday 26 October 2024, immerse yourself in the wonder of fireworks night with the return of Cotswold Gliding Clubs' fireworks and bonfire night. Going off with a bang, the event will feature a helicopter pyrotechnic air display performance, followed by a fireworks display. 

There will also be food, drink and snacks vendors; fun fair rides and activities; a gliding simulator; STEM workshops; and Halloween pumpkin carving. Car tickets start from £37 for up to five people; pumpkin carving is a surplus charge of £4.50.  

Longlevens Rugby Fireworks

Join Longlevens Rugby for its 'even bigger' annual fireworks display and fayre on Sunday 3 November 2024, featuring fairground rides and stalls, multiple food outlets, tombola, hot drinks and outside bars.

Tickets cost £5 if bought in advance, with family tickets (for two adults and two children) costing £20. Alternatively, add on the family food ticket for £14, which includes four hot dogs or burgers and a fast-track pass for the queue.
