The county is buzzing with big business events this October 2024 — plus the Gloucestershire Business Awards, too!

Gloucestershire is buzzing this month, with everything from the prestigious Cheltenham Literature Festival to the government's much-anticipated Autumn Budget under the new chancellor AND the Gloucestershire Business Awards 2024 — it's a busy season for the business community!

The Cotswolds Huddle networking event at The Slaughters Manor House

The Cotswolds Huddle is a new business community and networking platform that meets once a month. Describing itself as 'the friendliest networking event in the Cotswolds', this free event — complete with refreshments — groups this month at the chic Slaughters Manor House in the picturesque village of Lower Slaughter, near Bourton-on-the-Water.

The event takes place from 11.30am until 1.30pm on Tuesday 1 October 2024. No booking required — just turn up!

'Breaking Barriers — Embracing AI and Automation for Business Transformation' workshop in Gloucester

A new event from Emerge Digital and hgkc for business owners and professionals across Gloucestershire, it aims to empower them to discover the ways AI can help improve and transform their businesses.

Taking place from 8.15am until 12pm on Wednesday 2 October 2024 at Kingsholm Stadium, ticketholders can expect a morning of discussions, presentations and networking on the challenges of digital transformation, all with breakfast thrown in, too.

This event is free and can be booked via Eventbrite. 

Cheltenham Buzz Networking

Does the idea of networking fill you with dread? Then Business Buzz could be the event for you, promising a relaxed environment without added pressure.

Hosted by Steven Gill from The Training Fox, the event is at Leonardo Hotels Cheltenham on Wednesday 2 October 2024 from 10am to 12pm.

No pre-booking is required, but tickets can be purchased via the Business Buzz app or on the door for £10 plus VAT.

Workshop on unmasking workplace stress with The Growth Hub Gloucestershire

 

The Growth Hub Gloucestershire is helping businesses identify stress and burnout in the workplace this October 2024This free workshop will show managers how to support an employee who might be stressed and discover how to recognise the symptoms of burnout.

Attendees will learn how to spot the signs that people are struggling; find out what the legal requirements are regarding stress; and discover practical tips on mitigating the risk of workplace stress.

The workshop is on Friday 4 October 2024 from 10am to 12pm at South Gloucestershire and Stroud College — places are free and can be booked online via The Growth Hub's website.

Gloucestershire Business Awards 2024

The ultimate awards night celebrating the very best of Gloucestershire's business community, the Gloucestershire Business Awards recognise and celebrate innovative start-ups through to the top 100 businesses in the county, with this year set to be SoGlos's biggest awards night yet.

The invitation-only event takes place on Thursday 17 October 2024 at Hartpury University and Hartpury College — but for anyone who doesn't have a sought-after ticket for the in-person event, you can follow all the action on SoGlos's social media channels as we announce the winners live on the night.

Women Mean Biz — Stroud networking group at Burleigh Court Hotel
